WHAT BEES CAN DO FOR YOUR BUSINESS:

NATIONAL MARINE AQUARIUM

The National Marine Aquarium is proud to work with the fantastic team at Pollenize Plymouth. We are excited to have one of their beehives on our roof. The natural world is all interlinked: a healthy bee population can help maintain a healthy environment, and in turn a healthier ocean. We hope our support will amplify the message of pollinator conservation, collaboration and protecting the natural world as a whole.”

Drew Colenso, Head of Operations, National Marine Aquarium

THE BOX MUSEUM

“The Box is thrilled to be the new home for 20,000 fuzzy friends! The protection of the European Dark Honey Bee is crucial to the biodiversity of the UK and the rest of Europe, and this initiative led by Pollenize is so timely in the context of the Climate Emergency. Our own sustainability strategies are always under review in order to identify ways in which The Box can develop further our green agenda. Joining the Pollenize initiative was therefore an easy decision and we are proud to be engaged with an organisation such as Pollenize which shares The Box’s determination to take the lead on tackling the effects of climate change and biodiversity loss.”

PLYMOUTH MARINE LAB

“It has been great to collaborate with Pollenize CIC and provide another Plymouth home to the wonderful bees. The project, which was initiated through our involvement with Environmental Futures and Big Data Impact Lab (www.impactlab.org.uk), aligns extremely well with PML’s commitment to safeguard and enhance biodiversity and support environmental stewardship.”

Lee Merchant, Buildings & Facilities Manager Plymouth Marine Laboratory

MILLFIELDS TRUST: GENESIS BUILDING

“The Millfields Trust have been avid supporters of Pollenize CIC from day one. It is wonderful for us to know that having a beehive on the roof of our Genesis building is helping the natural environment.  As a fellow Social Enterprise, supporting Pollenize is a no-brainer.  We also get to see Matt and Owen on a regular basis and it is so clear to see their passion for what they do.  Keep up the amazing work, and if you are reading this and are thinking of supporting Pollenize, think no more, just do it!”

Sadie Chambers, Business Development Manager, Millfields Trust - Genesis Building

BABCOCK

“Being a Pollenize Business Patron is great for Babcock because it gives us opportunities to work with our local communities and raise awareness about important environmental issues.

It also means we are able to work collaboratively with a local Social Enterprise, enabling employees at our Devonport facility to get involved and understand the science behind the work Pollenize does. One example of a great joint project we've been involved with has resulted in seed packs shared with every primary school in the Plymouth area and we look forward to continuing working closely in partnership with Pollenize on similar initiatives in the future.”
